My testimony I was born in a town near Gdansk in northern Poland- Starogard Gdanski, in a Catholic family. Nobody in our family was talking about God and all of us very rarely attended our church. When I was in my teen age I started to wonder who can go to heaven. My conclusion was that only those who please God, who carefully keep His commandments. So I tried to keep them for a time, but of course, my efforts hadn’t been successful. Observing my own failure I concluded that I had really no chance to please God so I gave up with Him for the next several years living like he hadn’t existed.
When I was at my third year at the University of Gdansk I met people from Ruch Nowego Zycia (Polish part of Campus Crusade for Christ). They shared the Gospel with me but at first I didn’t get it right. Driven mainly by curiosity I went to their Christmas conference and was struck by their way of being. They were different from my friends. They were more joyous and peaceful. Something was different in them and I didn’t know exactly what and why. All of them were telling me that they have personal relationships with Christ who has been their Savior and Lord.
On the New Years Eve night they had also different party. All of them were giving thanks to God in different ways for what He had done in their lives during the then-ending year. When I was listening to all this I realized that Christ wasn’t present in my life and that I wanted to changed it. That night I prayed receiving Christ into my life. It was eleven years ago. Soon after receiving Christ I started to have a growing sense that God is calling me to full time Christian ministry. It took a while for me to be ready for it, but finally I gave up my job a joined Ruch Nowego Zycia. Now it is my 8th year in ministry (first two in Gdansk and this is my 6th year in Warsaw).
